Our optometric team at Honest Eye Doctor is more than a collection of individuals; it's a close-knit community of professionals who share a common goal: your eye health and well-being. As the eldest of six children, Dr. Josephine Do has always been surrounded by a sense of family and responsibility, which has deeply influenced her personal and professional ethos.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Dr. Do completed her undergraduate education at The University of Texas at Austin, earning her B.S. in Human Biology. Once she graduated, she says she pursued her true passion, obtaining her optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in Boston.Â
Dr. Do completed her externships at a private practice in Manchester, NH, a community health center in East Boston, MA, and two veterans affairs hospitals in Portland, OR, and Bedford, MA. Throughout her externships, she gained experience in managing ocular disease, focusing on diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, corneal disease, contact lenses, dry eye treatment, and glaucoma.
Dr. Do is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, and Texas Optometric Association. She is a licensed eye doctor in Alaska and Texas, a fact she says represents more than just a professional milestone, testifying to her commitment to serving diverse communities and adapting to various healthcare needs.
Since 2019, she has considered it a privilege to grow as an eye care professional. She is passionate about building connections with her patients and finding purpose in understanding that even our briefest moments together can leave a lasting imprint on our lives.
Community service is a cornerstone of Dr. Do’s personal and professional life, largely thanks to her father, who runs a non-profit community center in Greater Houston that provides essential services, education, and housing support to economically disadvantaged families and senior citizens. She contributes to this mission by participating in health screenings and volunteering during the weekly food fair.
When she’s away from the office, Dr. Do enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and any other activity that allows her to spend time outdoors. She’d love to extend her nurturing spirit to fostering fur babies someday.

Dr. Freeland graduated from New England College of Optometry in Boston, where she honed her skills in ophthalmology before relocating to Austin, Texas, in 2021.Â
Away from the clinic, Dr. Freeland enjoys spending Sunday mornings at home with her husband Brennden, their one-year-old daughter Harley, and their two dogs, Barley and Weller. Brenndan and Dr. Freeland often spend Sundays meal prepping and trying new recipes. They love all kinds of food, but have a special place in their hearts for Mexican.Â
Outside of the house, their family loves searching out the latest and greatest playgrounds for Harley to play at and loves touring local breweries. You’d be surprised at how kid and pet-friendly many of these breweries are!

Dr. Huynh was born on a tropical island but grew up in Dallas, Texas. After getting his undergraduate degree at the University of Houston, he went to optometry school at Incarnate Word School of Optometry. In 2021, he became the first person in his family to complete college and a higher degree as an optometrist! He loves helping enhance people’s quality of life by improving their vision and eye health, and his favorite specialty is multifocal contacts, ocular diseases, and anterior segment disease.
Outside of the office, Dr. Huynh participates in mission trips to Baja California with Flying Samaritans to offer medical assistance and education to the people in rural areas of Mexico. He is also a passionate photographer and enjoys participating in outdoor activities such as traveling, swimming, disc golfing, and hiking.
Dr. Linh Nguyen is a passionate eye doctor who loves that she can educate her patients on the importance of eye health in a non-judgmental environment. She grew up in Port Arthur, Texas, and attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, for her undergrad degree. She then earned her doctorate at UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry.Â
Asked what her favorite part of her day at the clinic is, Dr. Nguyen would say that she finds it interesting and engaging to help patients with eye emergencies such as eye infections, eye injuries, and embedded foreign bodies.Â
Dr. Nguyen volunteers at animal shelters, socializing and walking dogs in her free time. She also enjoys baking, trying new foods, and traveling.Â

Originally from sunny Puerto Rico, Julitza loves hiking with her dogs and unwinding with a good book. Julitza is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care with a symphony of precision and kindness.

With dreams of a white Christmas and concert vibes, she brings energy and warmth to our team. Her love for enchiladas is only matched by her passion for caring and attentive service to every patient.
